A new concept: SolarPump
|
|
Danfoss Heat Pumps has been a great part in the development of an entirely new type of heat pump application. The new concept is called SolarPump, and is a symbiosis of heat pump and solar panel. Right now the SolarPump is shown for the first time at the ISH fair in Frankfurt.
The Danfoss SolarPump is not available on the market yet.
The plan is to start launching it in selected European markets under 2010. |

The SolarPump application combines the best of two worlds, by collecting renewable energy from two sources: air and sun. The basic idea is already well known – to combine solar panels and heat pumps. But with the new SolarPump technology the efficiency is increased by 16 percent compared to current heat pump / solar panel systems on the market. Another advantage with the SolarPump concept is that all parts are included in just one unit, which makes installation and handling easier.
SolarPump is the result of a cooperation project between Danfoss Heat Pumps and Sonnenkraft, one of Europe’s leading companies within solar energy. A team with participants from both companies have together developed the SolarPump, by combining the best parts from each field.
